About Seema
Dr. Seema Saul is a temporarily licensed psychologist who is passionate about working with young children, adolescents, and their families from diverse backgrounds. She has experience supporting children with disabilities and neurodivergent children, including those with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. Her clinical interests include play therapy, teen counseling, peripartum and postpartum depression, attachment and caregiving disruptions, emotion regulation difficulties, behavior management, interpersonal trauma, parenting support, and educational advocacy. She values collaboration and works closely with caregivers, educators, and other important people in a child's life to promote continuity of care and lasting change. She has specialized training in supporting mental health during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Dr. Saul has advanced training in CBT, DBT, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and crisis-based interventions, integrating humanistic, relational, and cognitive-behavioral approaches tailored to each family's strengths, needs, and goals. In addition to psychotherapy, she provides comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents (ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder, mood-related concerns).
Dr. Saul holds a B.A. in Psychology (minor in Art History) from Brandeis University, and earned her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Wright State University School of Professional Psychology in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship at Astor Services in Poughkeepsie, New York. Her experience spans community mental health centers, juvenile detention facilities, preschools, and hospital-based programs, including comprehensive assessments at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, peripartum/postpartum support at Mom2B, and psychotherapy at Hillcrest Academy (forensic residential setting) in Cincinnati.
