About Hannah
Dr. Hannah McGee is a Licensed Psychologist. She enjoys helping adult clients from any background navigate concerns such as generalized, social, and health anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and low self-esteem. She has extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Processing Therapy (IPT), and Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD, among other evidence-based treatments. She is trained to provide EMDR therapy for trauma. She views therapy as a collaborative process and uses an integrative approach.
Dr. McGee earned her Master's and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Kentucky and her Bachelor's in psychology from Georgetown College. Before joining Viewpoint in 2021, she provided therapy and assessment at the Jesse G. Harris Jr. Psychological Services Center, UK's Center for the Advancement of Women's Health, the UK Counseling Center, and Eastern State Hospital. She commuted to Florence from Georgetown for years and is glad to serve her Georgetown community. She has conducted research on religious beliefs/behaviors and risky behaviors in college students, and served as an adjunct professor in psychology at Eastern Kentucky University.
