About Anne
Anne Haag (she/her) provides individual psychotherapy to teens and adults from a diverse array of backgrounds with concerns including anxiety, depression, work-related burnout, grief, and trauma. Her approach is integrative and responsive, drawing on CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy. She enjoys helping people process and navigate trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues, and her background working with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence is foundational to her survivor-led trauma therapy. Anne has completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR training.
Anne also provides couples therapy and has completed Level 1 of the Gottman Method training, helping couples navigate conflict more productively and reconnect. She is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in Kentucky and earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago. She volunteered for 5 years as a crisis counselor for survivors of sexual violence in Chicago-area emergency rooms, and has experience with hospice patients and families. Before becoming a therapist, she worked for 7 years as a Law Practice Management Advisor at the Chicago Bar Association, teaching CLE seminars on mental health and wellness in the legal field.
