About Libby
Elizabeth (Libby) Wertz enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing challenges associated with ADHD, anxiety, behavior management, emotion regulation, interpersonal relationships (family, friends, romantic partners), life transitions, and self-esteem. With children and adolescents she fosters collaborative relationships with parents, teachers, and other adults; with young adults she helps them navigate emerging adulthood and develop skills to achieve their goals. Libby offers ADHD Clinical Coaching, CogMed, and ADHD assessment services in addition to individual therapy.
Libby earned her Psy.D. from Xavier University with an emphasis on children and adolescents (independent research: "Association of Parent and Child Perceptions of ADHD Symptom Severity with Treatment Engagement"), and graduated cum laude with Departmental Honors in Psychology from Ohio University. She has years of research and clinical experience with children and adolescents who have ADHD and anxiety in private practice and school settings, provided therapy to college students through Xavier's Psychological Services Center, and completed her doctoral internship at the University of Cincinnati's Counseling and Psychological Services (single-session, individual, group, and assessment).
